I know this 45 never even charted on the hot 100 chart (#101, and didn't make the top 40 R&B chart either) but it's a popular record today. I have it on two cds, Kent's Cellar Of Soul on Kent/ACE records and ERIC records' Hard To Find 45's On CD: Sweet Soul Sounds 1963-1971.
The Kent cd has the song in mono, running 2:18.
The ERIC cd has the song in stereo, running 2:17.
I timed my original mono 45 (credited to ROGER Collins - apparently only the earliest pressings were) out to 2:21. It has a later fade out than both of the above cds.
Since I will probably never get to hear the song in stereo with the longer fade (i believe i had once read something about there being damage to the session tape so it was faded slightly early), does anyone know where (or even if) the true full mono 45 version with the full fade out can be found on cd?
