although not in the db because of it's airplay exclusiveness, the song "queen of the night" by whitney houston did make the top 40 airplay charts back in early 1994, peaking at number 36.....i have both a promo cd single and import cd single for the song
promo cd single (ascd-2650)
1-cj's radio edit (3:21 listed; actual 3:21)
2-album version (3:06 listed; 3:06 actual)
uk import cd single (74321-16930-2)
1-cj's single edit (3:21 listed; 3:21 actual)
2-cj's master mix (6:35 listed; 6:35 actual)
3-cj's instrumental mix (9:35 listed; 9:33 actual)
4-mackapella mix (5:21 listed; 5:21 actual)

FWIW, this song was also released on a promo 12-inch single as well. Unfortunately I don't have it...it's one of those instances where I could have gotten it and didn't...and now am thinking I should have. I guess we all have those!
Because of Billboard's rules at the time, this song didn't chart on the Hot 100.

Can anyone recall which version Top 40 played in the States?
Certainly not a big Whitey hit, but Top 20 at CHR.
I seem to remember the "Rock" version (from the LP), but I hear more & more
people recalling a dance mix ... (CJ's single edit, perhaps?)
