Anyone have an actual time for this 45? Times range from 1:56 to 2:14 without notations. Thanks in advance.

I personally don't, but don't be surprised if it turns out that the different times are larely due to speed variations. I heard that's true of a lot of Fats's singles -- they were, for whatever reason, intentionally sped up in mastering the discs.

My U.S. commercial 45 states a run time of 2:08 but only runs 1:58 (give or take a second). The only CD listed in the database that I have is the They Call Me The Fat Man box set, on which the song runs 2:13. I do not detect a speed difference; the 45 simply fades much earlier. I don't have any of the listed CDs with run times of 1:58 to 2:00, but I do have a UK CD, The Best Of Fats Domino, on which it runs 1:59 with no speed difference detected. If there are any speed differences, it is less than a second.

Does anyone know if the stereo appearances of Fats Domino's "Be My Guest" running 2:13-2:14 is based on a longer LP length?

They are. 1:57 was my 45 single timing on my original 45
single. Bunny Robyn mastered the 45 at Radio Recorders
Annex in Los Angeles. He did speed up the Fats Domino
singles much of the time.

Todd,
All my LP discs with "Be My Guest" are 2:13. I have it on
several different Fats LP issues.

The label of the song's flip, "I've Been Around", which reached #33 on the Hot 100 but does not meet the criteria for database inclusion, states the run time as (1:54), but I timed it at (2:01).
