Pat:
I noticed in the database that the run times vary widely for CD appearances of Joe Cocker & Jennifer Warnes' "Up Where We Belong". I consulted Ed about this and he tells me his vinyl 45 copy runs 3:58 (the record label states a time of 4:00). The song first appeared on the An Officer and a Gentleman soundtrack album with a run time of 3:51. Therefore, it might be worth noting in the database that the 45 length is 3:58, while the LP length is 3:51.

Thanks, Brian. Yes, there are so many technicalities and nuances that exist out there in the Top 40 music world, it makes me wonder if we'll ever run out of things to post about!

Pat:
When doing an artist search for Jennifer Warnes and clicking "Up Where We Belong", an incomplete run time is listed for the various artist CD: Soft Love Volume 1 (Platinum Disc Corporation 19815). I believe that run time is supposed to be 3:53.
