Hello Pat!

I was checking the entry for this song, and not sure the (remix) comment is accurate.

Only two "Crybaby" versions were officialy released.

One is the 5:18 album version, and the 4:28 radio edit.

But no remixes were commisioned for the track.

I am also curious about the song's 4:28 entry for "The Remixes" CD.

All copies of this double CD I have seen so far include the album version.

I'm 99% sure the 4:28 radio edit is promo only, and therefore don't suppose it would be eligible to be in your database?

The edit was released on a 2 track US promo CD (CSK 127140).

Hope this helps!

Johann

Pat:

The database currently shows Mariah Carey featuring Snoop Dogg's "Crybaby" with the following comment:

1995 - CRYBABY (dj copies of this cd single run (4:31) the )

This appears to be another one of those glitches where the comment got cut off because quotation marks are present.

Does anyone have a commercial single copy of "Crybaby" who can pass along the track listing and run time info?

By the way, Pat, if I may bring a minor discrepency to your attention...

The database currently pulls up the following DJ CD single info for "Crybaby" when conducting an artist search under "MARIAH CAREY":

(dj copies of this cd single run (4:30) the "radio edit" and (5:18) the "album version")

However, the DJ CD single info for the song comes up a little bit different when conducting an artist search under "SNOOP DOGG":

(dj copies of this cd single run (4:28))

by the looks of the descriptions above, the song wasn't released on a commercial cd single? or are the lead tracks a version description and not a different song?

They are totally different songs. The commercial CD single is packaged like a "2-sided" hit. The front cover features "Can't Take That Away" while the clear spine part of the jewel case and the back cover features "Crybaby". I seem to recall some kind of dispute between Mariah and the record company on which song to push at the time.
