I have what appears to be a radio edit of Mary J. Blige's "No More Drama" running 4:04 on my Promo Only Mainstream Radio CD subscription series. Does anyone have an official promo CD single of this song who can pass along the track listing and run time info?

(Why can't I seem to get Ben Stein
out of my mind right now!) Todd, I do own a promo CD single for this, but
the 2002 promo CD singles box it's in currently has 8 other heavy CD boxes
directly on top of it. I probably shouldn't risk it right now, being the holiday
week and all. (Can you say "Christmas In Traction?") But since it appears that
no one else can help you out here, just give me some time, my friend, and
I'll dive into the "abyss" for you ASAP.

I might be able to save you a visit to the chiropractor, Jim. My copy is also buried but I found my review from 2002, which specifies the promo we received was MCA 25581 with listed time for the lead track (4:08).
I seem to recall that the LP-length (5+ minutes) was also on the single, and possibly instrumental/acappella versions, but I would need to check.

Thanks, gentlemen. If anyone can confirm the actual promo CD single run time at some point, please pass it along!

Mega thanks to you as always, Jim! Looks like the version on my Promo Only disc is indeed the radio edit, but faded out :05 early.

The Radio Edit on the promo CD has a really long quiet fade. Probably why they trimmed it.

Anyone know what was edited from the LP version? (And can the radio edit be extracted?)

The radio edit cannot be extracted from the lp version, as
the intro in the radio edit is a unique mix of the drums
and instrumentation fading in (at about 11 seconds) before
the first verse. I actually don't think that it works well
that way. They should have just cut 19.850 to 39.467 of the
lp version for a shortened intro, in my opinion. Also, the
radio edit features a hair more "static" before the first
piano note in the intro.
