A small ray of sunshine after the Collector's Choice "Complete Singles" debacle... we're getting a singles set of Sam the Sham from Sundazed, on CD, in mono. Track listing for the vinyl version (presumably the same on the CDs):

1. Wooly Bully
2. Ain’t Gonna Move
3. Ju Ju Hand
4. Big City Lights
...5. Ring Dang Doo
6. Don’t Try It
7. Red Hot
8. A Long Long Way

SIDE TWO
1. Li’l Red Riding Hood
2. Love Me Like Before
3. The Hair On My Chinny Chin Chin
4. (I’m In With) The Out Crowd
5. (Hey There) Big Bad Wolf
6. I’d Rather Have You
7. How Do You Catch A Girl
8. The Love You Left Behind

SIDE THREE
1. Oh That’s Good, No That’s Bad
2. Take What You Can Get
3. Black Sheep
4. My Day’s Gonna Come
5. You’re Welcome Back
6. He’ll Come Back
7. Banned In Boston
8. Money’s My Problem

SIDE FOUR
1. Yakety Yak
2. Let Our Love Light Shine
3. Old MacDonald Had A Boogaloo Farm
4. I Never Had No One
5. I Couldn’t Spell !!@?%*!
6. The Down Home Strut
7. Fate
8. Oh Lo

Somebody said they thought their "Yakety Yak" was making its CD debut here.

All of Sam the Sham & the Pharoahs Top 40 singles were previously issued in mono on the Rhino Pharaohization - The Best Of CD, but that disc is now out-of-print (and unfortunately I never picked up a copy).

Any word on a release date for the Sundazed compilation, Brian?

It just says "soon" on their Facebook posting. But I think this is a complete A and B sides singles collection, which it doesn't sound like "Pharaohization" was.

I have a promo single of a similarly-titled song that fits the chronology here...it's a girl-group called the Sham-ettes. Were they (as the name implies) STS's backup singers, or is this an actual STS song?

One of my favorite novelty songs of all time.
Was this ever available on anything but a 45?
