Hey all,
Does anyone know if the 12" version of The Finer Things (runs about 8:25) has ever appeared on any sort of import CD singles--perhaps as a 'b-side' track on a single for another song of his?

Was it a promo because I collect such things and don't see a 12" in The Great Rock Discography?

The 12" of Finer Things may have been a promo (I don't see a listing for it on discogs at all), but the 12" mix was also the b-side of a couple of European 12" releases of Valerie. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Valerie was released as a CD single.

actually, I may have found the CD single of that Valerie 12". It doesn't have a time listing, but the track list is the same, so hopefully it is the 12" mix of The Finer Things on the CD single as well.

Well, you're both right, so here are some YouTube videos to reveal the answers:
This guy shows off and plays the stock 12" single with a "Finer..." remix.

And this fellow has a white-label 12" promo which is the 7" version. Sounds like the wow and flutter I always heard on the 45-rpm disc was transferrable to this 12" too, so it must've been on the master tape. But I still wish I had this pressing.
