Hey, everybody,
I appear to only have "You Were Mine" by The Fireflies on one CD, which is Mystic Music "Twilght Time." The sound is not very good, though.
Can anyone tell me of a better-sounding source? I'm wondering what it sounds like on the Ace UK CD "Doo Wop Shop." Ace usually gets really good-sounding tapes.

'Doo Wop Shop' version of "You Were Mine" sounds nice. Much less *vinyl overmodulation sound* on the "...really really mine" part of the hook.

In my experience, I've found you really can't go wrong with the sound quality on an Ace UK CD release.

this one's a real bugger....my commercial 45 issued as
ribbon 6901 lists a run time on the label as 1:52 but
actually runs 1:57.....all the db entries dump the song
early...i will try and have mark see if he can extend the
1:55 version to match the vinyl 45's length...
