Some of you may already know this. Back in 1976, the Manhattans re-recorded the spoken word intro to "Kiss And Say Goodbye" after the song became a hit (one of the first platinum 45s). This new version with the re-recorded intro is the longer LP version with the cold ending and is extremely rare as it seems only a few hundred copies were ever pressed. This promo only mono single was on a white Columbia label (AS263) and is on you tube in case you want to listen to it. I'm sure a few disc jockeys had a chuckle when they first heard this one (but I bet they never played it on the air).

Heh... I've actually heard this version played several times here on Q-105,
although they insert sound effects where appropriate in the intro. Has this
one ever made it to CD?

I don't think it's on CD yet (probably never will).

I don't see what they couldn't put it on a CD. It's not
really X-rated, and it's funny.
