My commercial CD single of Des'ree's "You Gotta Be" has an actual run time of 4:04, not 3:59 as stated on the label.

Love this song. Our radio station played the 45 version which ran 4:04 but
then later switched to Love Will Save The Day remix which I loved even
more than the 45 version.

I did not know another version existed other than the 4:04 common version.

Yup, it exists. It has the same running time. Here it is ...although the last few
mins were chopped off...

Wow! Never heard this mix in 23 years!
Even though it's not protocol to document import singles here I still marvel at how our international fans get serviced these special edits and mixes. When I was purchasing maxi CD
singles in the 90's I'd always choose an import maxi single over the domestic CD single. They're probably hundreds of instances like this and we could comb through the entire 90's on
international edits and mixes alone.

Back in the day the radio stations played a lot of songs that were on import
singles and not available on domestic CD single. I bought a lot of them as well.

Curiously, where did you live where the stations
regularly played import singles? Any station I ever
worked at just played what we were serviced with by the
label. This is not to say that the promo singles didn't
contain a mix only available as an import, but it's not
something we did knowingly.

I remember hearing the remix as a recurrent, and I believe it's because
stations were serviced it on this promo CD for her follow up hit:

I had forgotten that I also have a stock CD single for "Feel So High," and it also has the remix of "You Gotta Be" as cut 4.
