contains the 45 version of clarence clemons & jackson
browne's hit "you're a friend of mine" that runs 4:12 in
length.........can anyone confirm this?

Nothing like continuing a 16 year old thread :)
I was just about to try and make the 45 edit from the 4:50 version. All I have to
go off of is what appears to be the single edit on YouTube
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0nyTNdkq8U). It lines up perfectly until
around the 4 minute mark, where the single appears to bring the sax out
sooner - so there's an edit in there, it's not just an early fade, but I don't have
the official 45 to compare it to.
Anyone have any insight on this one?

Perhaps Ron Gerber can go into more detail, but there
appear to be two edits. One at 3:52 and one at 3:58.

After you make the edits, you'll have edit points at 3:52 and 3:58, but I don't have my notes on how much to delete. You should be able to edit this one from knowing the approximate edit points and the YouTube clip. I think this was pretty straightforward, as edits go.
