According to the database, Fergie's "Clumsy" has a run time of 3:59 on her parent CD/album The Dutchess (Will.i.am Music Group/A&M B0007633 and B0007491 and B0007490), but only 3:19 on the Now 27 various artists CD (Sony BMG Music Entertainment 722781). At present, there are no comments explaining this time difference, but I'm pretty sure the latter is a radio edit or possibly even a single version. Can anyone confirm this?

Todd, according to Wikipedia, the digital download of the song was a radio edit that ran 3:21.

I can't find the radio edit for sale on either iTunes or the Amazon mp3 store, though.

I saw that on Wikipedia too, musicmanatl, but the footnote next to the digital download info seems to be referring to the Swedish 7 Digital download site, which would thus make it an import digital single. Given that "Clumsy" was issued as the fifth single from Fergie's The Dutchess album, there's a significantly reduced chance that it was issued as a standalone digital single in the U.S. (My research does indicate that a very different remix was issued featuring Souljah Boy Tell 'Em, but this was clearly not the hit version). If anyone has info to the contrary though, hopefully he will come forward.

I do love a good mystery...
If we can believe this website, there was an initial 3:20 radio edit that was sent to stations, and then it was withdrawn and replaced with a 3:16 edit. This website shows both promo CDs, which are listed as being from the US and the labels appear to confirm that.

I just listened to and time checked the song on NOW 27 and it runs exactly 3:19 but the ending appears to be a little sudden. My guess is that the version on NOW 27 is the first (withdrawn) radio edit.
What do you think?

The version I have on Prime Cutsruns 3:19 with a
very abrupt ending. That may be the same version that
musicmanatl described above.

I went ahead and ordered a copy of the reserviced promo CD single, and the only difference is that the first 6.5 seconds are chopped off when compared to the 3:19 Radio Edit. The actual run time of the "RE" Radio Edit is 3:13 and not 3:16 as printed on the disc.
