Does anyone know if the 45 version of "Honey Please, Can't Ya See" by Barry White has ever appeared on an import CD?

The 45, which is stereo, has the strings much hotter in the mix, whereas the "neither" version on All-Time Greatest Hits has the strings pretty much buried. I presume that the "neither" version is an edit of the LP version, but perhaps the LP can be edited to match? Anyone know?

I wish I knew if this song was on an import, however I believe the 45 can
not be created from the LP version, as beginning at about 2:42 of the 45,
there are vocals by Barry that I can not find in the LP version. Seems the
45 was edited (and remixed) from an even longer master. I believe the
"neither" version is indeed an edit of the LP version.

Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phEFC31BE18. This looks
like the German 45, is from vinyl, and has the same ending as the
"neither" version, despite the 3:04 run time on the label.

Then there's what looks like the UK 45 at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYEQ77h_jJA. Same as the US 45.

More confusion.

There may finally be a CD release (or 2) with the correct 45 version of this song in April 2018. Mercury (UMe) has a compilation due out titled The Complete 20th Century Records Singles (1973-1979). There is a three disc deluxe edition with both sides of the 45s plus a single disc Best Of compilation minus the b-sides (many of the b-sides were instrumental versions of the hit a-side). The single disc also includes a track by the Love Unlimited Orchestra (that track does not appear on the deluxe edition). More news coming soon.
