I noticed that the database entries for "Can't You See" by Total feat. Notorious B.I.G. do not note which versions are censored and which are uncensored. There is one word in the song that is edited from the censored version---the last line of Biggie's rap that says "act up I'll have my honey's Total bustin' s**t."

Aaron, I just reviewed the "Can't You See" situation and here is what I have come up with. I have the "parental advisory" edition of the Total cd which originally contained "Can't You See" and even though this is the "parental advisory" edition, the "s**t" word is edited out (this occurs :49 into the song). So I hear no difference between the 45 and LP version because they both have that word edited out. Do you have a copy of the Total cd where you can hear the word "s**t" at :49?

Yes, I have two different CD singles; however, they are packed away in Michigan. Both are promo singles (P676 & P700 on the Tommy Boy label)---one has the word edited out, and the other one (P700) does not. Perhaps the New Jersey Drive soundtrack has the uncensored version?

Nope the "New Jersey Drive" cd has the same version as all others listed in the database.

Interesting... I'm guessing that I have a unique version (uncensored) on my promo single. Thanks for the info, Pat.

Now that I have entered the censored and uncensored data in the database I notice something very strange -- several of the cd's that have the parental advisory sticker on them include the censored version of "Can't You See"!
Ed, does your cassette single feature the clean or uncensored version of this song?
And does anyone know if there was ever a "clean" version of the "Total" cd issued and if so what is the catalog number.

my commercial cassingle of the total song "can't you see" issued as tommy boy 7676 states the version on the cassingle as "vocal" with a listed run time of 4:54 but actually runs 4:52.....the biggie lyric "s**t" at the 0:49 mark IS edited out, but at the 4:50 mark during the fade out puffy says "bee-otch" (bitch)....so it's not quite so clean.....i found the proper cassingle version on the promo cd single issued as tommy boy tbcd 676 with the below listed tracks
1-vocal (4:54)
2-no rap vocal (4:54)
3-instrumental (4:54)
