I was listening to Coven's "One Tin Soldier" (Warner Brothers hit version) on the "Super Hits of the '70s" CD and thought it might be a disc dub, though it's not reported that way in the database. Can any audiophile here listen on headphones and report back as to whether this is a disc dub? I just seemed to have that grungy/distorted sound of an overplayed record (in places), though no pops or clicks can be detected. So it seems to me this may be "cleaned vinyl" - unless the master tape just has this distorted sound.

It does sound like a disc dub to my ears.

Pat, maybe you can update the database to mention this is transferred from vinyl, as you usually do for cases like this.

I still prefer the Original Caste 45 original on T-A.
