<the cassingle of "better than you" by lisa keith is
the "original mix edit" and runs 4:15 and is and edit
of the cd/lp version..........you might want to add
that info to the database....>
I have the "original mix edit" on the promo CD single, as well as the album on CD, and I find that the "original mix edit" is NOT an edit of the album version. They are two different mixes IMO, and the database should be updated accordingly. The CD single has something called "Album Version" and that is not the same mix as "original mix edit". Ed, can you check your mixes again? Is it possible that the CD album later incorporated the "original mix edit" and that earlier pressings (like the one I have) had the different mix (labeled on the promo CD single as "Album version")? Another possibility is that the cassingle mislabels it as "original mix edit" and accidentally included the album version.
BTW, I think it's rather confusing to call something the "original mix edit" when the mix is not the album version mix, because most people will assume that that's what that means (the reason being that when singles have a different mix, they are usually considered "remix"). The "original mix edit", as it appears on the promo CD single, is definitely the mix I heard on the radio and the mix that was used for the video.
