45 of this runs about (3:54), LP runs (4:23). Anybody know where the edit(s) comes in (there is a 45 on YouTube, but it's a little scratchy)?
Thanks!

Well, the good news is I figured out where the edit should
be--at about (3:07) of the LP version. The bad news is it
appears that the 45 cannot be edited from the LP without
some trickeration. There's a harmonica in the background
where the edit on the LP version should be (from what I can
tell, this harmonica doesn't appear on the 45 or is mixed
very low). It might be possible to graft another section
of the 45 into where the edit should be, but I'm not sure
it would correctly match.
Anybody got a good quality needledrop? :)

Doug, I have a nice, clean promo 45. It had been misfiled, so I didn't comment until first having it in hand. Will get you a dub in the next day or two.

Hmmmm... There's a clunky edit at the 3:04 mark on the 45 during the middle of the little drum break, which comes just before the point where you thought the edit should be at 3:07 of the LP version, Doug. Better get your scalpel prepped to work on this potential Frankenstein. ;)
I didn't have the LP version before downloading the latest remaster from HDTracks. They must be using Patina-B-Gon, because the London 45 sounds like the bottom of the Mississippi compared to the HDTracks file!

If your version is clean enough, I can probably live with just the needledrop (especially if the harmonica on the LP version prevents me from making the actual edit correctly).
