my commercial 45 for the bobby vee song 'charms' issued as
liberty 55530 lists the run time on the label as 2:13 and
does indeed run that length.....the cd i have "the
legendary masters series' issued as emi 92774 has a
version running 2:09 and NOT 2:21 as listed in the
db.....there are a few differences on my cd that do not
line up with the db's listings....could there be two
pressing of this cd?.....funny thing is...the cd and
sleeve list 26 tracks but there are actually 28 on the cd
when i load to itunes!!...is there a cd that contains a
longer running version of 'charms' on it?....the cds
reverse side has the markings '077 779277421RE1'

Ed, on my copy of this CD the track "Charms" does run
(2:21) and fades (so either there is a speed issue or the
song runs longer on this disc).

My Liberty #55530 45 of "Charms" by Bobby Vee also runs
2:13, but I'm having a hard time hearing the drum on the
opening beat, whereas it's very prominent on the
"Legendary Master's Series" cd (on which my copy also
runs 2:21). Not sure if it's just buried in the mono 45
mix or if it's just not present.
It seems to me as if the length difference is just a
longer fade on the cd than on the 45.
