This is a really good question, Ed. I have a copy from a TM Studios HitDisc, as well as a Promo Only compilation disc, and it runs 3:32. It is simply labeled as "Clean." Unfortunately, I don't own a promo CD, but surely for a hit as big as this, Atlantic would've issued one.
Anyone else have a promo CD for this one?
I suppose it's also possible that radio stations could have used the full-length clean album. At the 3:32 mark, the song ends cold (just like on the radio compilations I have) and goes into a skit for the remainder of the track.
Could this be a situation where radio stations turned an album cut into a big hit? I don't see any evidence of any singles being issued, including a 12" promo or import CD. There is also no official music video for the song. Anyone know?

My copy is from Top Hits U.S.A. and runs 3:32 like Aaron's
copy. Mine is labeled "Amended Version."

When this song was a hit, I searched high and low and far and wide for any kind of single - commercial, promo, CD, cassette, vinyl, US, UK, Australian (at the time, most hits were still being released on CD singles in Australia), but the only thing I was able to find was a 12-inch single on a label called 'The Killah Kuts' (TKK-1522) with three cuts: "Clean Mix", "Dirty Mix", and "Instrumental". I had never heard of this label before (or since), so I would describe the status of this 12-inch single as questionable. (The artists' names don't even appear on the label.) I timed the 'Clean Mix' at 3:29 and, unlike the version Aaron and Eriejwg mention, it has a faded ending.
Thanks to Aaron for pointing out that (except for the fact the ending fades), this version is the same as the first 3:29 of the clean album version, which is something I hadn't realized before.
My guess is that 50 Cent's label would only allow him to appear on the album and refused to let Atlantic release a single, either commercial or promo. While this song was a hit, another song from the album, "Thug Luv", was issued as a commercial CD single.

Paul, thanks for all your recent valuable information! I think that pretty
much confirms that no promo CD single, nor any single for that matter,
exists anywhere in the world. I bet your theory about 50 Cent is also
correct.

FWIW, I also looked high and low for a promo CD on this one back in the day and also came up empty.

I can confirm there is no promo CD. You would think with a hit so big that there should have been one! What I find puzzling and wonder about is that Primecuts did issue a 3:31 clean version but it is of mp3 quality and the Explicit version (which comes directly from the album) is lossless. I fail to understand why the quality from Primecuts was so horrible.
If anyone has a higher peaking clean edit let me know...

Apparently you are correct there was never an official video made or even commercial/promo release. Very odd for such a huge hit....

The clean version is lossless from my Promo Only Mainstream Radio CD. I'm guessing it's also lossless on the full-length clean CD.
