No endless parade of remixes for this one - just the album version.
The promo CD single (Elektra 9119) is mastered pretty loud, and clips quite a bit. The version on the Deluxe CD uses the same analog transfer but isn't a digital clone. Deluxe has excellent levels, and works out to be about 4
or 5 dB quieter than the promo CD single.
I did notice one tiny difference between the Deluxe version and the promo CD single: The "yeah that's right" in the right channel at the very end of the song is much more pronounced on the promo CD single. It's down around -40 dB on
Deluxe, but around -20 dB on the promo CD single. Even accounting for the 4 or 5 dB level shift between the two, that's a huge boost (or cut, depending on your view of which came first).
I don't know if this is significant enough to warrant a notation in the database; it's barely significant enough to warrant its own thread!
