I own two commercial 45s for this, both pressed on vinyl, mastered by Bell
Sound, and confirmed as Todd 1072. Label wise, my first copy exactly
matches up visually with its first listing on Discogs. A listed time of (2:55),
an actual time of (2:57), and handwritten deadwax info of "PC-9867-2".
The copy described above has no label mention of "Nationally Dist. By Jay-
Gee Record Co., Inc." It appears that once the song was becoming a
surprise national pop hit, the small indie label Todd partnered with
someone, short-term, to ensure they could keep up with the high coast-
to-coast demand for the 45.
My other commercial 45 copy does include the Jay-Gee distribution blurb
at the bottom of it. However, the deadwax info is exactly the same as my
other copy - even the handwriting is exactly the same. The only other
noteworthy difference between my two copies is that this copy has a listed
time of (2:31), but an actual time of (2:57).
