Pat:
I recently consulted Ed about the actual commercial 45 run time for Robert John's "Hey There Lonely Girl", which he reports to run 3:04. It would appear then that the correct length is on John's Greatest Hits CD (Curb 77543) but is :05 short on his Classic Masters disc (Capitol 37262). Do you know if this 2:59 length on the latter CD is an LP length, an early fade of the 45 and LP, or the result of a different playback speed?

Todd I can't help you out on this one as I do not have the Robert John vinyl LP that contains "Hey There Lonely Girl".

Okay, Pat. Do any of the other board readers have the parent Robert John vinyl LP containing "Hey There Lonely Girl" on it who would be willing to clock the actual run time for us? (Paul Haney?)

I just timed all 3 versions that I have and here's what I found:
The 45 states a run time of 3:08.
The "Back On The Street" LP states 3:07.
The Greatest Hits CD on Curb 77543 states 3:04.
ALL 3 versions are identical and run 3:04.
