Just missing the Top 40 at #42, I found a YouTube video of the promo 45
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5XxIjLN1YQ). It starts different and
sounds like an edit/remix of the LP version. Does anyone have the 45 to see if
it's the same (label timing on both promo and commercial is 3:40).

David, I finally had a moment to go pull my 10/1977 A&M 1976 promo 45
for you. It states "Edited Version", has a listed time of (3:40), and an actual
time of (3:38). I just sent you a dub of my promo 45's stereo side, so you can
then figure out where the edits were done.

Jim kindly sent me a dub of his promo 45. It is indeed a different mix from the
LP version and has a different beginning not found on the LP version. Now, I
would like to know if the commercial 45 is the same as the promo (assuming
yes, but would like confirmation).

I located a stock copy of this and I can confirm the stock
45 is the same as Jim's promo, the 3:38 mix unique to the
45. Too bad only the LP version has been issued on CD or
for download.
