Well, since we're on a little Ohio Players roll, might as well ask about "I Want To Be Free." The 45 version is only available on a K-Tel release
that I assume is long out of print--the LP version is a lot more widely available.
So can the 45 be extracted from the LP?

Doug, that lone K-Tel CD containing the 45v is deeply buried among my
many hundreds of V/A CDs (I never did figure out a way to file them all, for
quick later retrieval.) :(
So, moving to Plan B to assist you, I have just shot you out a dub of my 1975
stock 45. Please report back if it is an edit, edits, or just an early fade from
all the LP versions of the song that end up on CD.

Two edits, Jim, but two pretty huge ones. First edit cuts from (1:31.70) to (3:20.38). Then with what you have left, cut from (2:12.62) to (4:09.45).
(Your mileage may vary on the hundredths.)
Thankfully, no adjustment on the fade. My file times out to (3:16.55).
