Not a Top 40 hit, but a question about "Can You Stand
The Rain" from New Edition. The 45 is listed at 3:59.
Digital versions run between 4:46 and 5:00.
Is the 3:59 version a listed time, early fade or edit?
Thanks in advance...

Hey John, I like to go back to unanswered questions from 4 years ago! My 45 RPM single states 3:59, but actually is 4:04.4, I find
no mix differences between the single and my 'New Edition's Greatest Hits', MCA-10434. There Is the obvious edit of the birds
chirping (0:00.00-0:11.16) and then the fade is a real subtle start at about 3:35 and the single ends at the above 4:04.4 -Bill.

And then I went to my 'New Edition Gold' CD and it does not have the aforementioned "Birds
Chirping" on it, which accounts for the difference in timing between the 2 CD's -Bill.
