Sorry if this has been a topic before - but I could not find it in this forum. Really appreciate some help here. I have a US45 for this one - UA 50,475 but with UA2915 under this label number (probably a reissue?) However; when I look in the database it says the 45 running 2:49 - just the same as my 45. But I found most of the CD's running several seconds longer. When I compare my 45 with the 'Complete United Artist singles' CD it seems to be :06 difference in pitch/speed !! I don't know where the comments like 'too slow' catch in, but this is perhaps a candidate?

Great catch! I pitched up my copy of the song from The
Complete United Artists Singles 3% and it now runs
2:49.
Was the original vinyl LP that this song came from slower?

Yes you are correct the "Complete United Artists Singles" cd is mono like the 45 but runs much slower than the 45 or LP for that matter. The good news is that all the other cd's in the database run at the correct speed but they are almost all longer than the 45 or LP running time. The stereo LP mix seems to bring the horns out front more than the mono 45 mix.
