TM Century issued a "Mainstream Top 40 Version" of "The First Night" by Monica. This version removed the spoken part by Jermaine Dupri from the mix, so it cannot be created using the LP version. I've searched high and low for a promo CD single that contains this mix, but I've never come up with one.
Does anyone have a promo with the Mainstream Top 40 Version?
I do, however, have two promo CD singles that I can provide details for:
ASCD-3507
1. non-described version (listed 3:55; actual 3:42)
2. Call Out Research Hook
(The database CDs all contain the full-length 3:54 version. The promo CD has a short version of this mix, but there is a unique segment of music toward the end. Therefore, you cannot edit the LP/45 version to create this version.)
ASCD-3547
1. So So Def Remix (listed 4:08; actual 4:09)

Looks like Top Hits U.S.A issued the non-described version
running 3:42. I only have that version.

I finally came across a promo CD-R sent out by Arista with the "No Rap Edit." This is the same version as what TM calls the "Mainstream Top 40 Version." The disc is a Mitsui Gold CD-R with the artist and title written on it in marker. The Mitsui front insert has the info typed onto it. Actual time is 3:55.
