I'm listening to a version from a TM Century Disc that
runs the same length as the LP version but removes most of
the spoken words over the intro. Was this version issued
on a promo CD single?

Discogs shows 4 promo CD Singles in the US for this song.
One of them has 5 tracks and contains single, alternative
and a/c mixes, so it could possibly be one of those.

There was a promo edit played in Southern Ontario in 1995 sans the spoken word intro (other than over the drums kicking in)

The version from Hitmakers Vol. 106 is a 3:35 remix. Does anyone know if this version is on a promo CD single?

Promo Version I'm Familiar With
I'm not sure if this isn't just from the TM Century Disc, but it's what I heard on CKLH-FM in Hamilton, Ontario during 1995.

If I had heard this on the radio, which I actually don't think I have any memory of, I'd have said it was Maxi Preist.
I never had any requests that I remember either.

That's the version we played for a very short time on Fun 107/New Bedford MA back in the day. It was cut #2 on the promo CD.
