Jermaine Jackson & Pia Zadora released "When The Rain Begins To Fall" in Europe in 1984 and in the USA in 1985. While it went to #1 in France, the Netherlands, West Germany, and Belgium, it only went to #54 on the US pop charts.
While the MCA / Curb Records labels consistently showed 4:06 to 4:09 for the single length, the Arista Records labels (both commercial & promo) consistently said 3:57!
Would I be correct in assuming that the version on the Arista label was the same length as the MCA label, and that they didn't chop off the opening beats and create an early fade to get it under 4 minutes?
