Just like 1984 and 1985, I have pretty much exhausted all the lower charting hits available on albums and in the digital realm. I know a lot of people on this board sometimes come across the songs on this list or can point me in the right direction where to obtain the CD for them.

For some there are LP versions but no idea if the 45 can be made from them.

If anyone can help please post and let me know. I'm good on the Top 40. I count 57 needed. Thanks in advance.

Phil Collins "I Cannot Believe It's True" and Talking Heads "This Must Be the Place" are both edits of their LP Versions. I will email re-creations of these 2 to you shortly.

Greg Kihn Band "Love Never Fails" 45 was a remix by John Luongo. I've searched for it many times over the years and have never found it on CD or digital release.

425 - Men Without Hats - I Like It 3:23

The song title is just "I Like". It's not on CD. PM me if you want my rip of the US 45.

This is just an early fade, right?

329 - Midnight Star - Freak-A-Zoid 4:00

I downloaded one off iTunes. Their "No Parking on the Dancefloor" album
includes a few bonus tracks on the digital version, including "Freak-A-Zoid
(Radio Edit)" that runs 3:57.

Could that be the right version?

@WWYW-FM:

The "Radio Edit" on iTunes is an edit of the (circa?) 1987 remix by Timmy Regisford. It seems to have been created to promote their original Greatest Hits collection. The true 45 version has supposedly been released on a Japanese import in 2019, but I
haven't been willing to pull the trigger on it -- I haven't heard or read anything about whether it's taken from vinyl, master tape, etc.

@Rich:

Sorry, I missed this one ("Freak-a-Zoid") in your list. I have a 45 re-creation I did that I will send over.

No checked that already. It is not the 45 or the LP version, I have a 45 dub of it and it doesnt match at all.

@RichM921, no, MWH "I Like" fades 22 seconds early but also has two 13-second sections edited out.

Dexy's Midnight Runners - "The Celtic Soul Brothers" is on
the 1996 reissue of the band's "Too-Rye-Aye" album. This
U.S. 45 mix from that 1996 reissue is in the 1983 archive.
I have Janet Jackson's "Young Love" and "Come Give Your
Love to Me" 45 version re-creations from Aaron (I believe).

Another great list, Rich. The only question I have is #261, Randy Newman & Paul Simon. On the 'Trouble In
Paradise' CD, Warners 23755, It states 3:01 on the back and I time it out as 2:59. So are you looking for a
different mix? -Bill.

No looking for the 45.

I just listened to the version labeled "US Mix" on the reissue CD, and it has a spoken intro and applause that overlaps when the music begins. The US 45 opens with just music.

Interesting. Thanks, Aaron. I will re-label it in my
archive.
