About 2-3 years ago, PBS was selling a Dionne Warwick CD with previously
unreleased songs. I don't recall the title. (Some rare songs may overlap with
the huge box set Deja Vu, containing all her Arista albums). Does anyone have
the rare songs on the CD that PBS was selling?

The one I bought was a 3 CD set of all of her mono single
mixes from Scepter records. It also contained a single CD
"Hits and Rarities 1974-1999." The rare or unreleased
tracks are:
Sail Away
The Last One To Be Loved
Never Gonna Let You Get Away (with Barry Manilow)
Let It Be Me (with Barry Gibb)
In Love Alone (with Richard Carpenter)
You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To
What Becomes Of Love
On My Way
Welcome To My World
Touch Me In The Morning
The Love Boat Theme

The Hits & Rarities CD is available on
treasurycollection.com

I bought it for the mono Scepter singles!

I think it's this one, Gordon:

https://www.discogs.com/release/12472293-Dionne-Warwick-Hits -Rarities-1974-1999

I had an opportunity to buy it recently for not a lot of money and I passed. Now that I know it's rare I want it, of course, LOL.

So not so rare, then, I guess!

Brian, yes that's the one. Thanks. I'll have to check out this Treasury Collection
site. I'm not familiar with it

Has anyone checked the rarities on this CD with the ones on the the huge box
set Deja Vu? I have the 3 DW CDs on funkytowngrooves records, which had a
lot of unreleased bonus cuts. I just wonder if getting this CD, and the 3 by
FTG, would cover all the rarities on that multi-CD boxed set, which had some,
too.

I just ordered the CD from that Treasury Collection site, and if anyone's
interested in buying it, get it now because the site has a 25% off deal from
now until Cyber Monday. So it was only $15 (before tax & postage). Not bad
considering there isn't even 1 CD available for sale on the discogs site -
usually an indication of how rare a CD is.

There WAS one Treasury collection available on Discogs a
few days ago. Got to be quick on the draw. I was the one
that grabbed it at the top the market. It has sold a
number of times over the last 2 years and frequently in the
single digits.

I stopped at the first rarity "Never gonna let you get
away" WITHOUT Mr. Manilow. So completists need the Deja Vu
box which according to some has different mastering than
the FunkyTownGroove releases.

Same with the Carpenters singles collection. After wasting
money on so many Carpenters collections that Richard
tinkered with, I was willing to pay the PBS price to finally
get their singles as they were originally recorded and
released. Thanks for introducing me to the Treasury
Collection website - certainly worth checking when special
compilations like these are released.

FYI, Real Gone Music in April 2023 will be releasing the
same three CD set of Dionne's singles that was a PBS
exclusive almost six years ago. Limited to 3,000 copies so
good chance they will sell out quickly.

Got my pre-order in. Only because I'm that much of a Dionne Warwick fan. 2 - 3 month wait now.

Does this Real Gone release include the Scepter, Warner Bros, Arista (and
after Arista) singles?

Also I didn't realize Treasury Collection sold a Carpenters singles collection of
their REAL, Original mixes. I'll have to check and see if it's still available. Are all
of the songs truly the original singles and none from vinyl (including "Calling
Occupants...")?

Yes, it's all the original single mixes, and "Calling
Occupants" is from the British single tape. It's still
available.

Got the Treasury 3 CD Dionne Warwick Collection about 4 or
5 five days after my order. Sounds perfect.

As I recall, the first two songs on The Carpenters collection, "Ticket To The Ride" and "Your Wonderful Parade", are from vinyl due to the single
master being lost in the Universal fire that occured some years ago? Correct me if I'm wrong.
