I have always wondered if an official remix/edit or 7" remix of "When I Think Of You" was released, there isn't one on the 12 inch single, and it's my understanding the 45 version was the album version.
The video mix is close but has sound effects, I'm curious about a short remix on CD, tape or vinyl.
If anyone has the promo 45 vinyl, could you describe what's on both sides?

I have the USA promo vinyl & it's same on both sides, version unlabeled, and to my ears it's the same as the album version.
I also own the USA promo 12" and you're right, there is no 'edit of Dance Remix' or the like.

I had to cut down the dance version for my own Janet compilation not too long ago.
Overlapping the "bells" intro from the remix onto the LP version intro and then switching over to the remix entirely runs smoothly, sounds great and is how the single should have been.

That's a good idea Underground. Also, the instrumental version is actually a remix edit with no vocals. What I did a couple of years ago was mix that version with the acapella.
