My dj copy of "Burning Heart" is also missing the opening note of the song. Does this qualify as a 45 version?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this also the case with Little River Band's "The Other Guy" where the only difference between the 45 and LP version is the 45 is missing the opening drum hit? If the 45/LP version distinction in the database for "The Other Guy" is based on this difference alone, then a 45/LP version distinction should be made for "Burning Heart" to keep things consistent.

todd...i agree...........the lrb song has the same issue.......but.......at least with the survivor song you CAN start the song a milli-second later and come up with the 45 version...........the lrb 45 HAS the extra part and the cd doesn't...

So is the clipped opening note the only difference between the album and 45 versions?

Sounds like a mastering error on the 45, much like the slightly clipped intro to John Parr's "St. Elmo's Fire".

Yes, that's the only difference.
