the cassingle states that the version therein is the "club mix" but it is identical to the version from the cd "big phat ones of hip hop vol 1" and runs 3:37

If your cassette single is the same as the version on "Big Phat Ones Of Hip-Hop Volume 1" then that is also the version found on the original cd release "Project: Funk Da World" so there is no 45 version or LP version as they are the same.

I have the 3-track commercial CD single, which also contains the "club mix"/LP version. You are correct. They are the same. There is a "Radio Edit" on the promo single, which blanks out the word "s**t." That's the only difference between the two.

Does anyone own a promo CD for "Flava In Ya Ear (Remix)"? I'm wondering what the track listing is.

I don't own the promo, but I do own the commercial CD single for the remix. There were two different three-track CD singles in the US -- a regular and a remix.

Flava in Ya Ear - Remix (Bad Boy 78612-79011-2) contains:

1. Club Mix 3:39
2. Remix (Dirty) 5:02
3. Easy Mo Mix 4:21

The "regular" single (Bad Boy 78612-79002-2) as you know contained:

1. Club Mix 3:39
2. Easy Mo Mix (Radio Edit) 4:21
3. Shinka

Aaron, I just checked the master promo CD single inventory file that my friend "Smokin' Tom Gary" loaded into my laptop recently, looking for a promo "remixes" CD info for this song. He does have one listed for it. I can now at least provide you with a stock # for it (BBPCD-9010), and he also has a note saying that this CD contains 3 tracks on it, but that's it. I know that having the exact promo # can be half the battle, in trying to track something like this down. If it is a priority want for you and you need further, more exact specifics on it, just let me know, and I will be happy to e-mail him with the query on your behalf.

Thanks, Jim! No need to email him about that one. I'll find a copy sooner or later, and it's not a high priority.
