Just for 100% accuracy, I timed my listed (3:54) 45, and it actually is (3:54). For our esteemed, exacting 45 colleague EdTop40, he may want to re-fade an "LP Length" CD to the (3:54) length. The (3:51) CD "45 versions" are :03 short. Most of us are OK with that, but I know how Ed gets when he's :03 short ("Mad About You", "Touch Of Grey.") He's on a mission!

I think it's possible that the versions Pat lists as 45 version actually DO run 3:54. This was issued as a commercial 3-inch CD single in the U.S., and while that does run 3:54, the volume is so incredbily low after 3:51 that, even with headphones, I almost thought it stopped at 3:51 as well! You have to crank the volume WAY up to hear anything after 3:51 on the original CD single.

Ed: I timed a promo, but I have both. Like Brian said, awfully soft at the end. I know you just timed your stock 45 - if you want to pull out and time my stock 45, let me know.

Through even minor vinyl background noise, I bet you could never hear those last two seconds, Ed.

We got in two different promo CD singles for this. As I recall, this is one of the first times that this happened, as the issuance of promo CD singles were now becoming more and more common. Here are the details:
(PR 8027-2)
1-Non-described Version (listed and actual 3:54)
(PR 8033-2)
1-Edit (listed and actual 3:54)
2-LP Version (listed 4:25; actual 4:15)
3-Extended Version (listed 5:20; actual 5:13)
