pat...the db states that all the entries are the "lp version"....which maybe true, but the cassingle issued as epic 74343 contains a non described version which also happens to be the lp version.....in my opinion there is no "45 version" so no entry should be made in the db except for the 12" mix version that one cd contains....what is your opinion

I have changed the entries in the database to remove the LP version comment. What I have as a reference is a cd single catalog number Epic 74343 that does not say "promotional copy" anywhere on the cd or jacket but it does not have a bar code either so it is difficult to determine if this is a dj or commercial cd single. Anyway that cd single runs (4:05) not (3:56) as stated on the cd single jacket

I actually just hinted toward this in another thread... But regarding the Cover Girls "Wishing on a Star", if the database CDs containing the 4:41 version should have any comment, I'm of the opinion it should be: "vinyl 45, cassette single, and LP version". To date, the CD single version containing the 4:00 edit has not appeared on a domestic CD release (other than the CD single itself).
I also have a question regarding the lone database CD containing the "12" Single Mix" comment... I notice this particular CD is shown with a 4:41 run time, yet the 12" Mix on the DJ and commercial CD single have a run time of 6:42. So does the database CD in question have the incorrect run time, or could it perhaps be an edit of the 12" Mix?

Could the CD single mentioned in the database actually be a CD maxi-
single? I have a two-track commercial CD single that matches what's on the
cassette single (the 4:41 version of "Wishing" along with their previous chart
hit "Funk Boutique").
Interestingly the Billboard chart at the time lists a CD maxi-single available
but not a regular CD single, but I'm 99.9% sure my copy is bona-fide
domestic, and I purchased it during its chart run.

Todd, the "12 inch mix" comment came directly from what was printed on the cd jacket so I have now removed that comment from the database.
