Just bumping this up since Ed's cassette single info for Hi-Five's "She's Playing Hard to Get" was never incorporated into the database. Incidentally, the single version (a.k.a. "Hula & Fingers Radio Mix") is the same as the album version.
Ed, out of curiosity, are the promo CD single run times you've listed based on the actual or printed times? The reason I ask is because I have "She's Playing Hard to Get" on a U.K. import CD single (Jive 316) and on it the "Hula & Fingers Short Edit" runs 4:05 and the "Hula & Fingers Extended Mix" clocks in at 4:41. I realize of course that tracks on import CD releases don't always match up with their U.S. counterparts.

I have this promo CD, and I will try to post the actual run times within the
next day or so. (I'm not at home where I can access the disc at the moment.)
There is also another promo CD single for this song that I do not own, and it
contains the Clark Kent remixes. I'm pretty certain this disc was only sent
out to urban radio stations, and it's much harder to find than the pop Hula &
Fingers promo CD.

Pat:
I think the cassette single contains only one version of "She's Playing Hard to Get", the aforementioned "Hula & Fingers Radio Mix" which is also the album version. Yet the database now shows the cassette single as having four tracks. Unless this is reflective of a separate maxi-cassette single release I'm not aware of, can you double-check your cassette single info?

Pat:
Thanks for updating the database with the revised promo CD single run time info for "She's Playing Hard to Get". There's one final correction to be made however... Cassette single copies have an actual run time of 4:32 (the "Hula & Fingers Radio Mix"), not 4:38 as stated on the label. It might also be helpful to database subscribers if a notation is made indicating that the "Hula & Fingers Radio Mix" is the same as the album version.

And the "hula & fingers radio mix" is also the 45 version.

Exactly. When it was first established that the cassette single states "Hula & Fingers Radio Mix", the track description led me into thinking this must be a different version or mix than the album version. Turns out it is not (at least as far as I can tell), so I thought I'd help clarify that for database subscribers.

Can the 4:05 hula & fingers short edit be recreated from
the 4:32 hula & fingers radio mix?

Ed was kind enough to send me a copy of his hula &
fingers short edit. It can be recreated using the hula &
fingers radio mix.
Keep 0:00.000 to 2:11.794
Remove 2:11.794 to 2:31.005
Keep 2:31.005 to the end
With what you have left, you'll make an earlier fade
from 3:52.636-4:05.229 (that's what I did.)

Not long ago, I obtained the remix promo CD, and here are the contents:
JDJ-42103-2
1. Supermen Big Bass Radio Remix (listed 4:20; actual 4:19)
2. Supermen Big Bass Radio Remix - No Rap (listed 4:20; actual 4:18)
3. Clark Kent's SuperMix (listed 4:20; actual 4:19)
4. Clark's Strictly Hip Hop Remix (listed 5:00; actual 4:59)
This remix is one of the earliest appearances of Jay-Z on a song.
