Pat, you indicate the mono version on "Emperors of Soul" to be the 45 with the (stereo) LP intro. You also indicate the verison on "Gold" to be the 45. The version I got from GOLD on iTunes is not the same as the mono version. All stereo versions I have (including the GOLD version) fade earlier than the mono version, i.e., they include the intro but fade earlier. Also, the lead "fuzz" guitar during the musical intro and the lead guitar from 1:33 to 1:42, 2:17 to 2:23 and 3:12 to 3:21 is different between the mono and stereo.
So, is the true 45 version missing the intro and indeed on "Emperors of Soul" (at least the mono main song), or did the 45 contain the intro and fade like the LP (which would make the "Emperors of Soul" version a "fades later").
So in a nutshell, the labeling of this song needs updating.

David, I was wondering the same thing. I just purchased Gold about a month ago specifically for the 45 version of "Psychedelic Shack." It looks like I still don't have what I'm looking for...

our 45 version minds at it again, Aaron. I would bet that the Emperors of Soul without the lead-in is the 45. Now, if someone with a 45 (Pat?) could only inform us what we are looking for!

Yes the "Gold" contains the LP version and yes the "Emperors Of Soul" cd features the 45 version with the stereo LP introduction.
