Anyone aware of the 45 version of this on a CD compilation or any disc aside from the impossible-to-find-cheaply original LP CD?

As far as I know, there's only one version, and it's on several comps, the cheapest probably being Sony's "Hits of 1985."

Actually, the 45 does fade a little earlier than the LP.

Jesbib, according to the database, the 45 runs about 4:07, whereas the album version runs around 4:12. It says the version on Sounds Of The 80's: 1985-1986 is 4:09, so that might wanna be the the one you go for.
