I have been puzzled for some time as to why there are two different versions of "Finger Poppin' Time" by Hank Ballard released on cd. Admittedly I do not have the original King album that contained this song so I am throwing this out to the forum members to enlighten me. For those not familiar with the situation, there are both a 1:48 and a 2:31 version of "Finger Poppin' Time" found on cd. I have the original 45 and it runs 2:31 so where has this 1:48 edit come from?

In my vault, the Mono "hit" single mix runs 2:34 while Stereo mix runs 2:36. Slight timing differences are common. I do not have the shorter version...
