a remix of the song "Put it On Me", running 4:42 and featuring Vita & Lil' Mo, is on The Fast & Furious Soundtrack. This may be the same 12" single version that is on the MTV Presents Def Jam listing.

Thanks Andrew. I really wish he would release an updated book. I don't want to invest in the 2002 edition at this point, and my 1999 edition is literally in shreds! THe binding fell apart from usage.

budaniel, you'll be glad to know that an updated Top Pop Singles is in the works for release early next summer.

Paul - I hope that you guys keep the b-side listings in the next edition! I also look forward to a new edition (as well as the new pop annual).

I would have ordered one if the shipping to Canada wasn't so expensive ("M bag" rather than regular mail, according to the Record Research flyer, for whatever reason).
I think I'll wait a while and order it with the next book I'm interested in if I'm going to have to pay that much.
By the way Paul, I love the features Joel puts in the books from Picture Sleeve information, Vinyl Availability, etc. I'd really like to see him do that with the album book too - that is, indicate which ones were available on vinyl from the '90s onward.
It's something vinyl collectors like me would really love to have data of. I've suggested it in the past but never really got a response on it.

"By the way Paul, I love the features Joel puts in the books from Picture Sleeve information, Vinyl Availability, etc"
actually, with the most recent Country research book, Whitburn actually got rid of that info (no singles catalog #s after 1989, no b-sides, no picture sleeve info and no mention of '90s vinyl availability), and it looks like the much the same (I think the single catalog numbers remain) with the new adult book. That info is replaced with songwriter info. This is why I asked Paul about the b-side info... That said, I love the books - just keep your older editions...

Oh wonderful! I really miss the yearbooks. They were so helpful in between books. Is there any chance of bringing the yearbooks back??
