The database indicates "LP version" next to all CD appearances of "Tough All Over" by John Cafferty. However, my commercial 45 of this song is just an early fade of the LP (45 length is 3:59). I believe the database should say "LP length".

I'm with you, Roscoe. I'd call this "LP length," too. Sometimes, however, Pat will indicate "version" instead of "length" in cases where the LP ends cold and the single fades (or if there is an extra verse and chorus on the LP), even if the difference is only an early fade.

agreed....the 45 version is just an early fade of the full cd/lp version.....and NOT a different version....

my commercial 45 issued as scotti brothers 04891 states a run time on the label as 3:56 but actually runs 3:57 and is just an early fade of the full length 4:35 cd/lp version...this 45 run time should be added to the db

The database currently lists two different catalog numbers for John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band's Tough All Over CD:

Scotti Bros. 39405 and 75410

I thought I'd pass along that I have what appears to be a third U.S. pressing of this CD that was released in 1993. The record label and catalog number is Volcano 32051. I understand the Scotti Bros. master tapes were sold to Zomba Records subsidiary Volcano Entertainment during the '90s and many of the affected artists had their material reissued under Volcano.

My pressing of the Tough All Over CD contains the following Top 40 hits and relevant database info:

(S) (4:34) Tough All Over (LP length)
(S) (3:33) C-I-T-Y
