My commercial 45, which is mono, has a listed time of (2:52), but an actual time of (2:55).

Did I mention I recently found the mono version on an import CD?

Brian:
Is the mono version on your import CD a dedicated mono mix, or a stereo fold-down?

I'd be interested in this as well.
Does anyone know what the import might be?

It's on the Australian edition of Time-Life's "Flower Power 1971." I don't have the 45, so I can't compare to make sure it's not a fold-down. But I don't have any reason to believe it is.

Thanks for info.
I checked e-bay and only found an 18 vol Time-Life set with "Put Your Hand in the Hand" on one of the volumes called Do You believe In Magic (which is not in the Top 40 database)
It is the 2nd song after "Black is Black" by - Los Bravos. I'm guessing this one, anyway. is the same version they've used on previous Time-Life releases.
I'll keep a watch for the CD you have.

Came across this recently:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/put-your-hand-in-the-hand/ id294153869
The remix sounds good. I didn't even know the song as we've all known it
came from an unedited master.
Unfortunately, many websites, including amazon, have mislabeled the original
mix as this one.

Wow, thanks for posting that David. Love this song, great
to hear the full length unedited version.
We get a piano solo in the middle, and after the last
choruses we get a piano outro with a cold end. Sweet!
Only con for me about the remix is they were a little
heavy with the reverb. Sounds like 80's arena rock.
