My commercial 45 has a listed time of (2:37), but an actual time of (2:31). Since all 29 current database CDs for this song run between (2:35) and (2:37), this is a disappointing discovery, and I was hoping my findings weren't true. So, to make doubly sure, I did a second timing on it, and it IS definitely (2:31). FYI, my deadwax is "VAST-13318 RE-1", although the label deadwax # states "UAST-13318".

I have several CDs where Bobby Womack's "Lookin' for a Love" runs 2:35-2:37. I've compared them to the commercial 45 running 2:31 (credit Jim for once again generously supplying me a dub). Although the 45 runs several seconds shorter in length musically than on the CDs, the 45 also plays at a significantly faster speed. Does anyone know if the CD length and speed is indicative of what's on the original vinyl LP release? If it is, then some length and speed comments should probably be noted in the database.
