Anyone have information on where the 3:58 version of "Wait for You" by Elliott Yamin that appears on Now 25 comes from? It is not the Nevins GTR radio edit.

I don't know for sure, Pat. I bought the original single (no longer being offered) on iTunes, but it ran 4:21 (same as the album version).

Interestingly, though, iTunes lists the video as running 3:57, so maybe it's the "video version".

I have the song from JonesTM Prime Cuts. My version also runs 3:58.

Our station is playing the 3:58 version. This must be available on a promo single, although ours was taken from HitDisc.

We have the official CD promo single from Hickory Records (no number) and it states: 1. album version (4:21)...but it actually runs (4:16).

We never got the promo single here, but we got the track serviced digitally from the label back in the spring. It's labeled "Album Version" and runs 4:00. Perhaps this is to distinguish it from the dance remix; or maybe the album wasn't finished yet (March).

I have a promo CD which has two tracks, claims 3:56 (radio edit) but runs 3:58, and album version (4:21)

Paul and Bill:

Could you please supply the catalog number on your promo CD singles for us? Thanks!

I suspect there will come a day in the not-too-distant future when record labels will stop pressing promo CD singles for radio stations altogether and will begin servicing tracks exclusively via digital download. This could produce a headache for those of us trying to document and obtain radio promo singles in the future.

Todd, our promo CD has no catalog number on it anywhere (at least my old eyes couldn't spot one)...although it has full artwork both front and back and all kinds of label contact information...first time I've ever seen one like this.
