Ironically, was at my Mom's house yesterday and read in her People magazine a nice article on Taylor Dayne. Taylor is 45 now, raising 2 small children, and it was 20 years ago, in 1987, she charted for the first time...

According to the database, there is a remix of "Prove Your Love" running 7:25 on the Dance Diva Remixes & Rarities CD (Sony BMG Music Entertainment Custom Marketing Group 40750). Does anyone know if this is the "Extended Remix" that appears on Jim's promo CD single? I don't have either disc, so I'm unable to compare for myself.

Jim's promo CD single info for "Prove Your Love" has been incorporated into the database. I just thought I'd add that the commercial 45 runs 3:24. (Timing info is supplied to us once again by abagon. The printed record label time is 3:25.)

On the Taylor Dayne "Playlist" CD, the version of "Prove Your Love" is the Hot Single Mix which was a different mix than the single mix.
The database should reflect this mix.
Thanks Pat.

Just confirming that both the LP version and the vinyl 45 version both match the Single Version from the promo CD single.
If you need to find a difference between the Single/LP/45 version and the Hot Single Mix from the promo CD single:
At the 1:00 mark, there's a four-snare drum fill. On the Hot Single Mix, the first snare is accented a little. On the Single/LP/45 version, all four snares sound the same.
It's kinda hard to hear a difference without A/B-ing them.

I was considering subscribing to the database today and I thought I saw where CD singles were not included on the description page. Has this changed since that page was made?

No. It is one of Pat's golden rules of the database. If it's on a domestic CD release then it is listed. If it was a CD single release as its only appearance, it is not.
From someone who waited too long to subscribe, it is worth it. Plus you are supporting Pat's continued updates and the board here. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to do my top 40 assembly correctly!

Also not included in the database are DJ only
subscriptions such as Top Hits U.S.A., PrimeCuts and Promo
Only since those services are not available to the general
public.
Go ahead and subscribe! I have for 13 years and continue
to re-subscribe every year.
