Just FYI, my commercial 45 has a listed time of (4:31) and an actual time of (4:30). And while my promo CD single states a listed time of (4:24), it also has an actual run time of (4:30).

Jim:
"Where Are You Now" was released twice, wasn't it? In 1986 and 1989?

Yes it was, John, but it only got to #77 BB in 1986, when the group was simply known as "Synch". The 1986 45 was on Columbia, while the 1989 45 was on WTG, a Columbia/Epic subsidiary. Both recordings were the same, but Synch had long broken up by 1989. This is why the later release gave featured billing to Harnen. Record company folks were planning to market him, going forward, as a solo artist, after this surprising "from the vaults" Top 10 hit, but Harnen himself couldn't capitalize any further on its 1989 success.

Hi Jim,
Actually Harnen did "capitolize" further on its 1989 success...
Jimmy Harnen is currently Senior Vice President of Promotion at Capitol Records Nashville.
