I only own a promo 45 for this. Both sides have both a listed and actual time of (3:40). My latest Whitburn Pop Annual also states (3:40) for the stock 45; perhaps someone can confirm this.
Pat has already included some time notations for this; I will add some additional details, from my promo CD single (PR 2538-2):
1-7" Version (listed & actual 3:40)
2-New AOR Mix (listed 3:45; actual 3:46)
The only current CD in the database for this song states a time of (3:57), which none of the above versions are. It appears to me that some sort of version designation (LP Version, perhaps?) will need to be added.

No.
7" version has overdub, edit and extended bridge.

i have a promo cd single for the escape club song "shake for the sheik" issued as atlantic pr 2538-2 and contains the below tracks...
1-7" version (3:40 listed; 3:40 actual)
2-new aor mix (3:45 listed; 3:45 actual)
this info s/b added to the db.....
