Both sides of my promo 45 feature different edits of the LP Version. One side has the same edited, listed (4:15), actual (4:16) stereo version that appears on the stock 45. But the other side of my promo 45, which states "Compatible Stereo", but is absolutely in mono, includes a "more severely" edited version, with a listed time of (3:49) and an actual time of (3:51). I noticed right off that the bat that this shorter DJ 45 version clearly edits out the last part of his middle-of-the-song "scat" vocal (the best part, in my opinion!) Still, both sides DO end the same way, with a long-resolving final note. At some point, I'll have the very busy Aaron K give this one a listen, and I'm certain he'll be able to provide further, more specific "DJ 45 short version" details.

Jim is absolutely correct about the middle "scat" section being shortened on the promo 45. There is only one edit, which removes the section from 1:55 to 2:21. The edit is on the downbeat. Wow, has it been 7+ years since this was first posted?!?
